How to operate the shear machine

About the shears in use, want to make the operation more safe, need to pay attention to two aspects: the shearing process and the use of the machine. 

1. Shear process in the whole process of cutting, the shear should pay attention to the following points: 

(1) check whether the material and thickness of the plate are appropriate, check whether the surface of the plate is uneven, or whether there are defects, check the texture direction, and determine the shearing order. 

(2) According to the thickness of the plate, adjust the gap between the upper and lower tools, adjust the position of the back stop, whether the material cut out is accurate, and whether the width of both ends is consistent.

 (3) In the process of shearing operation, it is often checked whether the size of the cut sheet is in line with the size, including length, width, diagonal line, etc. 

(4) The cut sheet materials should be placed in categories, stacked neatly, marked with name and size, to protect the surface of the board from being damaged. 

(5) To cut small pieces of sheet metal, it is necessary to cut after the pressing column of the plate shearer, and pay attention to the safety of operation.

2. When the machine is used, the shearing machine is not opened or closed casually. It also has specific use methods. The specific use methods of the plate shears are as follows: 

(1) after starting the plate shears, it is necessary to idle several cycles to ensure that under normal conditions, the plates with different thicknesses are tested and the performance of the plate shears is familiar.

(2) It is necessary to adjust the blade clearance before cutting the plate. If the corresponding blade clearance is not adjusted, the blade durability will be affected. 

(3) During the shearing process, open the pressure gauge to observe the oil pressure. When cutting 1.0 mm stainless steel plate, the pressure should be less than 1.5 MPa. Here, we need to pay attention to that it is not allowed to cut plates with thickness greater than 6 mm in violation of regulations, so as to avoid damage to the machine tool. 

(4) The operator must be familiar with the general structure and performance of the equipment, and it is forbidden to use the equipment beyond its performance. 

(5) It is strictly forbidden to wipe the machine tool and the worktable during the working process. It is not allowed to place sundries or tools on the machine tool or worktable, so as to prevent the blade from being damaged by the cutting edge of the pushing blade. 

(6) When cutting material, the pressing board should press the plate to prevent the material from rebounding and hurting people. 

(7) Always pay attention to the locking mechanism, clutch, brake, pedal switch whether there is abnormal or failure phenomenon, shear should focus on. In case of abnormal equipment, the shear shall be stopped immediately, the power supply shall be cut off, and the maintenance personnel shall be informed for maintenance.

No matter what kind of machine we use, we should follow their own operating rules. We must not think about it ourselves and put ourselves in danger.
